We’re Dr. Gurleen Dhanoa and Dr. Aysha Chaudhry, board certified optometrists, moms, and beauty lovers who met during our optometry school journey as roommates. Funny enough, like any best friendship, it started off with a mutual dislike because we’re total opposites but in all the right ways and we quickly ended up becoming best friends. The one thing we both had in common was finding joy in makeup.

Our passion stems from firsthand experience during clinical externships when we realized people in the medical field, who have never connected with the beauty community, recommend ditching makeup altogether. That advice just didn’t sit right with us. As women of color, we’ve used makeup as a way to express ourselves and boost confidence, especially growing up in spaces that weren’t always kind to our ethnic features. So, instead of preaching cosmetic abstinence, we wanted to offer real solutions- safe and practical alternatives that help people feel beautiful while maintaining their eye health. Today, we continue to balance motherhood, practicing optometry and pouring our hearts into building a brand that bridges the gap between beauty and eye care.
